What we collect
Your first name, email address and account creation date. Alongside this we store the wine activity you create in the app: wines you search or scan, your verdicts and notes, wines you save, and your food pairing feedback. We do not collect payment details, location, or contacts.
Why we collect it
To keep your cellar and history available across your devices, and to build your personal taste profile so recommendations improve the more you rate. Aggregated, non-identifying usage is reviewed by the Francesca team to fix failed searches and improve recommendation quality.
Who can see it
Only you can see your own history, verdicts and saved wines. Access is enforced at the database level, not only in the app. Francesca team members with an admin role can see account records and activity totals in order to operate and improve the service. They cannot see your password and cannot sign in as you.
Your choices
You can edit your first name at any time, and delete your account from Account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, wines, verdicts, saved lists, search history and pairing feedback. To request a copy of your data, email us using the address you signed up with.
Security
Authentication and data storage are handled by our managed backend with encryption in transit. API keys are held server-side and are never exposed to your browser.
